Do You Deliver in Bad Weather?

Miami weather is famously unpredictable — afternoon downpours, tropical storms, and oppressive heat are facts of life here. GreenDrop operates through virtually all of them.

Rain and Storms

Standard rain, even the dramatic Miami afternoon variety, does not affect our service. Our couriers are equipped and experienced, and our packaging protects your order from the elements. Delivery times during heavy rain may extend by a few minutes as couriers prioritize safety on the road, but we do not suspend operations.

Extreme Heat

Summer in Miami can push temperatures well above 90 degrees. Our climate-conscious packaging includes thermal insulation for heat-sensitive products — edibles, certain concentrates, and items that could degrade in extreme warmth. Your order arrives cool and intact regardless of the thermometer reading.

Tropical Weather Events

During tropical storm warnings or hurricane watches, we monitor conditions closely and communicate proactively. If conditions deteriorate to a point where courier safety is at risk, we will temporarily pause delivery operations and notify all clients with pending orders. Service resumes as soon as conditions are safe — typically within hours of the weather event passing.

Hurricane Protocol

In the event of a hurricane warning, GreenDrop suspends delivery operations in advance of the storm's arrival. All pending orders are held and rescheduled automatically. We communicate through text and social media to keep clients informed. Post-storm, we resume operations as quickly as safely possible — often before many other services.

Your Comfort Matters Too

If the weather outside makes a doorstep handoff unpleasant, consider using our contactless delivery option. Your courier can leave the order in a sheltered location you specify, minimizing everyone's time in the rain.
