Why Is a Product Out of Stock?
If you have found a product marked as out of stock, we understand the disappointment. Cannabis is a living, seasonal product, and supply dynamics differ from conventional retail in important ways.
Why Products Go Out of Stock
- High demand: Our most popular strains and products sell quickly. When a particular batch is exceptional, word spreads fast and inventory moves accordingly.
- Harvest cycles: Cannabis flower depends on cultivation timelines. Between harvests, certain strains may be temporarily unavailable while new batches are grown, harvested, cured, and tested.
- Limited editions: Some products are intentionally produced in small batches — artisanal collaborations, seasonal releases, or rare genetics that cannot be produced at scale.
- Quality standards: Occasionally, a batch does not meet GreenDrop's quality threshold. Rather than selling a substandard product, we wait for the next batch that meets our criteria.
- Regulatory factors: Supply chain disruptions in the regulated cannabis market can affect availability across the industry.
Restock Notifications
When you find an out-of-stock product, look for the "Notify Me" option on the product page. Enter your contact information and we will alert you the moment it returns to our collection. Notifications go out before the product is publicly relisted, giving you a head start on securing your selection.
Alternatives and Substitutions
Our concierge team can recommend comparable alternatives when your preferred product is unavailable. Similar strains with matching terpene profiles, products from the same cultivator, or items with comparable effects and potency are often available as substitutes. Reach out and we will curate options for you.
Our Commitment
We continually work with our sourcing partners to maintain consistent availability of our core collection. When supply challenges arise, we communicate transparently through our product pages and, when appropriate, through direct client notifications. We would rather be honest about availability than set unrealistic expectations.
