What If I Miss My Delivery?
Life is unpredictable, and sometimes you cannot be at the door when your courier arrives. GreenDrop handles missed deliveries with flexibility and understanding.
What Happens When You Are Unavailable
Your courier will first attempt to contact you via phone and text upon arrival. If there is no response within a reasonable window — typically five to ten minutes — they will notify our concierge team. We will then reach out to you through multiple channels to coordinate next steps.
Rescheduling
If you missed your delivery window, we can reschedule for a later time the same day or for the following day at no additional charge. Your order is safely returned to our facility and stored under proper conditions until the rescheduled delivery. There is no penalty, no fee, and no judgment — these things happen.
Preventing Missed Deliveries
- Tracking: Use your real-time tracking link to monitor your courier's approach and prepare accordingly.
- Proximity alerts: We send a notification when your courier is minutes away.
- Delivery instructions: If you might be briefly occupied, provide specific drop-off instructions for a contactless handoff.
- Alternative recipient: Include a note that a household member or roommate can receive the order on your behalf.
Repeated Missed Deliveries
We understand that schedules are complex. However, if deliveries are frequently missed, our concierge team may reach out to discuss scheduling options that better align with your availability. Our goal is always to find a solution that works — never to penalize.
After-Hours Missed Deliveries
If a missed delivery occurs near the end of our operating hours and rescheduling for the same day is not possible, your order is automatically queued for first-available delivery the following day. You will receive a confirmation of the rescheduled time.
